The new CD "Bare Facts" from local 2-piece Ebbatson Baird is at long last complete. The Eddie Baird/Darryl Ebbatson collaboration
has taken a long time to come to fruition but the duo are now finally very happy with the results.
The 11 track CD includes
special guest appearances by Les Wilson of The Tannahill Weavers and John "Rabbit" Bundrick who asked if he could contribute after
hearing the demos. Rabbit plays keyboards on 5 of the songs and liked the tracks so much that he has invited Eddie Baird to
write the lyrics and perform the vocals on his new forthcoming CD - and not only that, he has also asked Darryl Ebbatson to do
the final mix.
The duo have already started work on Rabbits tracks - he's sent in 14 tracks to Darryl at Django Studios where
they will be worked on one track at a time then sent back to him to do the final instruments. The finished tracks will then be
returned to Django Studios
for the final mix. Exciting times ahead then for Ebbatson Baird. Things are certainly going well, so well in fact, that they are setting
up a publishing company not only to take care of this latest work but also to publish all of their earlier solo material.
The
band are also due for some press exposure soon as there is to be a mention of the CD in the September issue of "Record Collector".
"Bare
Facts" is now available to buy on the Ebbatson Baird website
www.ebbatsonbaird.co.uk which is well worth a visit. You can listen
to samples of all the tracks here and the site also contains a very nicely designed lyric sheets section.
